Pro-Development Sauk Village

Industry forecasts estimate that freight volume in Chicago will increase by 80% over the next 20 years. Today Sauk Village is in the right place at the right time. Located 29 miles due south of Chicago in suburban Cook County, Sauk Village is in a highly competitive position within the heavy industrial Calumet Expressway Corridor. In 1993 the municipality annexed 457 acres, and spent the next 12 years preparing for the development of an industrial park. Today that land, which netted 325 buildable acres, is LogistiCenter at Sauk Village. But Sauk Village is more than the park's location. DP Partners and the Village of Sauk Village have formed the largest public/private industrial-development partnership in the country. www.saukvillage.org

South Suburban Overview

Major Road Reconstruction to Benefit TenantsThe state of Illinois has major road-reconstruction projects underway in southern Cook County that will reduce congestion, increase capacity and improve safety on the Bishop Ford Freeway (Illinois 294) and U.S. interstate highways -- the north/south Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/I-94) and the east/west Kingery Expressway (I-80/I-94). Construction is slated for completion in the fall of 2007. When finished the road improvements will increase the desirability of the LogistiCenter at Sauk Village location significantly.
